We are Absolutely Cats! Situated on 2.5 acres of peaceful park like grounds, and less than 5 minutes drive to Whangarei city and the Onerahi Airport. The Deloraine Cattery is a purpose built Cat boarding facility. With Cats in mind a lot of care and thought went into the planning and construction of this facility, from the raised concrete floors, the double door systems on all exits and entry points, the amplimesh security screens on all doors, windows, and outdoor areas, and the alarms in and around the facility. For the comfort of our guests the building is fully insulated, and heated during the winter months, while the covered verandahs help keep it cool in over summer. Private & Family Rooms
These spacious rooms are great for families, Kittens, or more timid cats and long term stays. Each room has an indoor living area with 24 hour access to a fully secure outdoor private verandah, and are suitable for up to four cats (from the same family). We have climbing frames and chairs on all the verandahs, so our guests can relax and enjoy the sun when it’s out.
Indoor only Rooms
Our indoor rooms are also great for Kittens or cats that prefer to be on their own. Each room has a cosy bed, two levels and a chair or climbing frame. These rooms have no outdoor areas attached, and are suitable for 1 cat or short term stays.
Semi Individual Units
These Units are safe, fully secure and warm, with access to large indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Here each guest has their own Individual Unit to sleep and dine. This area is set up to ensure cats can have their own space or socialise if they wish to, there’s plenty of spots to curl up for a sleep, toys to play with, things to climb on or somewhere to just relax in the sun.
Isolation Facility
The Isolation Facility is a separate building, that is used to Isolate any cats whom we feel could pose a threat or spread Illness to any of the other guests. This facility is never under any circumstance used for any other cat boarding throughout the year.

We offer a pickup and delivery service in and around the Whangarei area including to and from Whangarei airport for those cats flying in or out of town.

- Maunu, Kamo, Tikipunga Pick up and delivery $15.00 each way

Flying out from the Onerahi Airport? Why not take advantage of our Free parking, and for just an extra $10.00 each way we can take you to and from the Airport.

To those customers flying out from the Onerahi Airport we offer a secure car park, and transfers to and from the airport, at a cost of only $10.00 each way
So your cats on a special Diet, that’s fine if you bring your cats food with you we are more than happy to feed them their regular diet.
- Provide the food for your cats stay and save an extra 50c per day per cat.
- We feed premium Royal Canin Cat food at the Deloraine Cattery.
